16 Large uncooked prawns
16 Slices of bacon
2 Cloves of garlic
16 Wooden skewers, one for each prawn
- Peel the prawns, leaving the head and tail fins on. Devein by cutting into the back of the prawn and pull out the vein, rinse and paper-towel dry.
- Wrap a slice of bacon around each prawn and push them onto separate skewers.
- Finely chop the garlic. Place prawns and garlic in a large oiled skillet. Fry for 8 minutes while constantly turning over until they have a nice red color and the bacon is crispy.
- Arrange the prawns on a salad, garnish with lemon and serve with baguette.
