“Bacon wrapped prawns”

Serves 4

16 Large uncooked prawns
16 Slices of bacon
2 Cloves of garlic
16 Wooden skewers, one for each prawn
Olive oil


  1. Peel the prawns, leaving the head and tail fins on. Devein by cutting into the back of the prawn and pull out the vein, rinse and paper-towel dry.
  2. Wrap a slice of bacon around each prawn and push them onto separate skewers.
  3. Finely chop the garlic. Place prawns and garlic in a large oiled skillet. Fry for 8 minutes while constantly turning over until they have a nice red color and the bacon is crispy.
  4. Arrange the prawns on a salad, garnish with lemon and serve with baguette.
